The Armory has changed a lot since Valve introduced it in October 2024. Some of the rewards are gone and new ones have taken their place.
Valve also introduced collections that you can get outside of the Armory. This is important to know if you want to get a skin.

The Armory catalogue rotates, while existing items remain tradable subject to the restrictions on each copy.
How the CS2 Armory System Works
The pass opens the credit-earning route for Prime play.
Play eligible Valve modes and progress through XP.
An active pass can earn up to 40 Armory Credits.
Choose from the catalogue that is live when you spend.
The Armory is a reward system for Prime players. Buy an Armory Pass, earn credits by gaining XP on Valve servers, then spend those credits on the live catalogue.
Several passes can be active at once. Since November 2024, progress has been tied to XP rather than the act of buying a pass.
What you receive depends on the reward category. A collection redemption gives you a random weapon finish from that collection. A case redemption gives you the case itself, not a guaranteed skin from inside it.
Stickers, charms, and limited-edition items rotate independently, while Armory Pass mechanics connect activation, XP, credits, and redemptions.
The pass itself does not have an expiration date, but the catalog is not permanent. Valve has already removed several original collections and cases while leaving players’ activated passes and earned credits intact.
An Armory Pass can remain active while a collection rotates out, so Armory Pass duration and catalogue availability are separate questions.

The catalogue keeps changing as Valve adds rewards and retires older ones. That makes the date on an Armory guide important: a skin can remain tradable after its collection leaves the catalogue, but players can no longer spend credits on that retired redemption.
Check the live Armory screen before planning a pass around one reward.
These are the live collection or case examples highlighted in the article.
Existing items remain in inventories and markets after catalogue removal.
Weekly Sealed Terminal drops do not spend Armory Credits.
Gallery Case Skins
The Gallery Case was one of the rewards in the Armory. It had 17 community-made skins and some special knives. Valve removed the Gallery Case from the Armory in October 2025.
You can still get the skins and cases from players or the market but you cannot get a new one from the Armory.
Gallery’s headline finishes included M4A1-S | Vaporwave, Glock-18 | Gold Toof, UMP-45 | Neo-Noir, and AK-47 | The Outsiders.
Its rare special-item pool used the Kukri Knife in an unpainted version and 12 finishes. Retiring the case from Armory redemption did not remove the cases, skins, or knives that players already owned.

| Rarity | Gallery Case skins |
|---|---|
| Covert | M4A1-S | Vaporwave; Glock-18 | Gold Toof |
| Classified | UMP-45 | Neo-Noir; P250 | Epicenter; AK-47 | The Outsiders |
| Restricted | SSG 08 | Rapid Transit; P90 | Randy Rush; MAC-10 | Saibā Oni; M4A4 | Turbine; Dual Berettas | Hydro Strike |
| Mil-Spec | USP-S | 27; SCAR-20 | Trail Blazer; R8 Revolver | Tango; MP5-SD | Statics; M249 | Hypnosis; Desert Eagle | Calligraffiti; AUG | Luxe Trim |
Overpass 2024 Collection Skins
The Overpass 2024 Collection also arrived at the Armory launch and remains available for credit redemptions. AK-47 | B the Monster is its Covert finish, backed by designs drawn from the map’s graffiti, signs, water systems, and industrial spaces.
The collection is a direct redemption pool, not a case with a key or rare knife slot.

| Rarity | Overpass 2024 skins |
|---|---|
| Covert | AK-47 | B the Monster |
| Classified | Zeus x27 | Dragon Snore; AWP | Crakow! |
| Restricted | XM1014 | Monster Melt; Dual Berettas | Sweet Little Angels; AUG | Eye of Zapems |
| Mil-Spec | Nova | Wurst Hölle; MAC-10 | Pipsqueak; Glock-18 | Teal Graf; Galil AR | Metallic Squeezer |
| Industrial Grade | MP5-SD | Neon Squeezer; P90 | Wash me; Negev | Wall Bang; M4A1-S | Wash me plz; Five-SeveN | Midnight Paintover; Desert Eagle | Tilted |
Graphic Collection Skins
The Graphic Design Collection was another reward in the Armory. It had skins with print and design themes. Valve removed it from the Armory in October 2025.
You can still get the skins from players or the market but you cannot get a new one from the Armory.

| Rarity | Graphic Design skins |
|---|---|
| Covert | AWP | CMYK |
| Classified | Desert Eagle | Starcade; AUG | Lil’ Pig |
| Restricted | P90 | Attack Vector; M4A4 | Polysoup; CZ75-Auto | Slalom |
| Mil-Spec | XM1014 | Halftone Shift; SG 553 | Berry Gel Coat; SCAR-20 | Wild Berry; AK-47 | Crossfade |
| Industrial Grade | SSG 08 | Halftone Whorl; P2000 | Coral Halftone; MP7 | Astrolabe; M249 | Spectrogram; Galil AR | NV; FAMAS | Halftone Wash |
Sport & Field Collection Skins
The Sport & Field Collection was also a reward. It had skins with outdoor themes. Valve removed it from the Armory in July 2026.
You can still get the skins from players or the market but you cannot get a new one from the Armory.
Sport & Field was another launch-era Armory collection, built around athletic graphics, outdoor patterns, and technical materials. M4A1-S | Fade sits at the top, followed by Glock-18 | AXIA and Galil AR | Rainbow Spoon.
Valve kept it available longer than Graphic Design, then removed it from Armory redemption on July 8, 2026.

| Rarity | Sport & Field skins |
|---|---|
| Covert | M4A1-S | Fade |
| Classified | Glock-18 | AXIA; Galil AR | Rainbow Spoon |
| Restricted | UMP-45 | Crimson Foil; MP9 | Arctic Tri-Tone; Five-SeveN | Heat Treated |
| Mil-Spec | USP-S | Alpine Camo; SSG 08 | Zeno; P250 | Small Game; Nova | Yorkshire |
| Industrial Grade | MP5-SD | Savannah Halftone; PP-Bizon | Cold Cell; Tec-9 | Tiger Stencil; MAG-7 | Wildwood; FAMAS | Half Sleeve; AK-47 | Olive Polycam |
The July 2026 rotation matters if you remember an older version of this guide, because Sport & Field is no longer a live Armory choice.
Existing copies can still be used, traded, sold, or added to eligible contracts, subject to the restrictions shown on each item and account.
Fever Case Skins
Fever joined the Armory in March 2025 with 17 community-made weapon skins and a rare Shattered Web knife pool.
Valve added the Fever Case on March 31, 2025 during the Spring Forward update. It contains 17 community-created weapon finishes.
Its rare pool uses the Nomad, Paracord, Skeleton, and Survival knives in unpainted form plus Damascus Steel, Doppler, Marble Fade, Rust Coat, Tiger Tooth, and Ultraviolet finishes.
AWP | Printstream and FAMAS | Bad Trip are the two Coverts. Glock-18 | Shinobu and AK-47 | Searing Rage give the Classified tier plenty of attention too, while the lower tiers contain several comparatively accessible finishes.
The rarity ladder used by cases follows CS2 case odds and drop rates, while Armory collection redemptions use a separate acquisition route.
| Rarity | Fever Case skins |
|---|---|
| Covert | AWP | Printstream; FAMAS | Bad Trip |
| Classified | UMP-45 | K.O. Factory; Glock-18 | Shinobu; AK-47 | Searing Rage |
| Restricted | Zeus x27 | Tosai; P90 | Wave Breaker; Nova | Rising Sun; Galil AR | Control; Desert Eagle | Serpent Strike |
| Mil-Spec | XM1014 | Mockingbird; USP-S | PC-GRN; SSG 08 | Memorial; P2000 | Sure Grip; MP9 | Nexus; MAG-7 | Resupply; M4A4 | Choppa |
Redeeming a Fever Case from the Armory gives you the container, not one of these skins directly. Opening it follows the normal case-opening flow and is subject to Valve’s regional and account rules.
The available methods for getting CS2 cases differ from direct Armory collection rolls.
2025 Train Collection Skins
The 2025 Train Collection arrived in the same update with a full map-themed set. Valve later removed Train from Armory redemption in July 2026, while the Fever Case remained available.
The 2025 Train Collection arrived with Fever on March 31, 2025. Its art draws from Train’s industrial setting, signs, weather, and rail structures, with AWP | LongDog as the only Covert.
Valve removed the collection from Armory redemption on July 8, 2026 alongside Sport & Field, making room for two newer weapon collections.
| Rarity | 2025 Train skins |
|---|---|
| Covert | AWP | LongDog |
| Classified | MP9 | Latte Rush; M4A4 | Hellish |
| Restricted | Zeus x27 | Charged Up; Tec-9 | Whiteout; MAC-10 | Derailment |
| Mil-Spec | XM1014 | Run Run Run; UMP-45 | Late Night Transit; FAMAS | 2A2F; Glock-18 | Green Line |
| Industrial Grade | P250 | Constructivist; Nova | Rain Station; Galil AR | Green Apple; P90 | Straight Dimes; CZ75-Auto | Copper Fiber; AUG | Steel Sentinel |
Armory retirement doesn’t mean that every Train-themed item became impossible to get in any way. The regular copies that already exist are still around.
The 2025 Train Collection also has Souvenir versions linked to Train souvenir packages. What ended in July 2026 was the chance to use Armory Credits to get a 2025 Train collection redemption.
Spy Tech Collection Skins
Spy Tech and Arabesque became the two newest active Armory weapon collections in July 2026. Spy Tech leans into surveillance and security themes, while Arabesque uses desert colors, calligraphy, mythology, and geometric patterns.
Both are credit-redemption collections, so they do not use case keys or include a knife or glove roll.
Spy Tech is one of the two Armory weapon collections. It was added on July 8 2026. It replaced part of the 2025 collection. It has themes like surveillance, intelligence, security systems and secret technology.
The Covert skins are Glock-18 Ghost Protocol and AK-47 | AUTOEXEC. Spy Tech is an Armory collection, not a retired set or a weekly Terminal drop.
| Rarity | Spy Tech skins |
|---|---|
| Covert | Glock-18 | Ghost Protocol; AK-47 | AUTOEXEC |
| Classified | M4A1-S | Fatal Glitch; USP-S | Spiral Glitch |
| Restricted | AWP | Black Box; Nova | Smart Gun; CZ75-Auto | Hydraulics |
| Mil-Spec | M4A4 | Dark Operative; R8 Revolver | Monarch; MP9 | Spy Prototype; AUG | Signal Scanner |
| Industrial Grade | MAC-10 | Video Cam; MP7 | Base-2; XM1014 | Black Site; Tec-9 | Perimeter; SCAR-20 | Arctic Camo Panels; FAMAS | Corp Defense |
Like Overpass 2024 and Arabesque, Spy Tech is a collection redemption. There is no key and no knife or glove slot. Each redemption returns one weapon finish from the collection, with the rarity ladder determining how uncommon the higher-tier outcomes are.
Arabesque Collection Skins
Arabesque arrived alongside Spy Tech on July 8, 2026. Its designs use desert colors, calligraphy, mythology, and geometric motifs.
AWP | Sovereign Flame and AK-47 | Consequence of the Jinn are the two Coverts, while M4A4 | Falak and Desert Eagle | Eastern Enigma sit in the Classified tier.
| Rarity | Arabesque skins |
|---|---|
| Covert | AWP | Sovereign Flame; AK-47 | Consequence of the Jinn |
| Classified | M4A4 | Falak; Desert Eagle | Eastern Enigma |
| Restricted | AUG | Lapis Lazuli; P250 | Lotus Imprint; Glock-18 | Ifrit Lattice |
| Mil-Spec | MAC-10 | Arabesque Mosaic; Tec-9 | Sultan; Sawed-Off | Lunar Wyrm; FAMAS | Snake Song |
| Industrial Grade | Five-SeveN | Desert Seal; Dual Berettas | Mystic Conjunction; SCAR-20 | Sirocco Script; MP9 | Dune Asp; PP-Bizon | Traitor; Nova | Morning Sun |
The July 2026 update removed the 2025 Train and Sport & Field collections when it added Spy Tech and Arabesque. That swap shows how Valve treats the Armory as a rotating catalogue.
A pass can remain active while the collection you planned to redeem changes, so catalogue status and pass status are separate questions.
Enter the credits available and the displayed credit cost of one reward. The result shows whole redemptions and unused credits.
Sealed Genesis and Dead Hand Terminals do not use Armory Credits.
Sealed Genesis Terminal Skins
The Genesis Collection is different from the collections. You can get it from a terminal and you have to pay for the skins you want. It is not part of the Armory. It is still a way to get new skins.
The Genesis Collection arrived in September 2025 through Genesis Uplink Terminals in weekly Care Packages for Prime players.
Sealed Genesis Terminals can also move between players or appear on the Steam Community Market when their item status allows it. This is a Terminal route, not an Armory-credit redemption.
Opening a Genesis Terminal starts a sequence of purchase offers. You can accept one by paying the displayed Steam Wallet price or reject it and move on.
A rejected offer cannot be recovered later. The Terminal is a limited purchase sequence, not a case that consumes a key and returns one random item.
| Rarity | Genesis Collection skins |
|---|---|
| Covert | AK-47 | The Oligarch; M4A4 | Full Throttle |
| Classified | Glock-18 | Mirror Mosaic; MP7 | Smoking Kills; AWP | Ice Coaled |
| Restricted | UMP-45 | Continuum; MAC-10 | Cat Fight; Dual Berettas | Angel Eyes; M4A1-S | Liquidation; Nova | Ocular |
| Mil-Spec | MP5-SD | Focus; MAG-7 | MAGnitude; P250 | Bullfrog; MP9 | Broken Record; P2000 | Red Wing; AUG | Trigger Discipline; SCAR-20 | Caged |
Genesis contains 17 weapon skins and no knife or glove special-item pool. For collection planning, the Armory Pass is irrelevant to this route.
What matters is obtaining a Terminal, reviewing the offers inside, and deciding whether any displayed Steam price makes sense for the skin being offered.
Sealed Dead Hand Terminal Skins and Gloves
Valve introduced Dead Hand on March 11, 2026 with 17 community-made weapon finishes and 22 new gloves as rare special items.
Like Genesis, its Terminal can enter a Prime player’s weekly Care Package instead of using Armory Credits. Sealed Terminals may also be traded or sold when the item and account restrictions allow it.
Dead Hand weapon skins
Dead Hand has two Covert weapon skins: AWP | Queen’s Gambit and Glock-18 | Fully Tuned. The other 15 finishes are divided across the Classified, Restricted, and Mil-Spec tiers, with no Industrial Grade tier in this Terminal collection.
| Rarity | Dead Hand weapon skins |
|---|---|
| Covert | AWP | Queen’s Gambit; Glock-18 | Fully Tuned |
| Classified | P90 | Deathgaze; P250 | Kintsugi; AK-47 | Crane Flight |
| Restricted | MP9 | Urban Sovereign; Galil AR | Galigator; MP7 | Amberline; M4A1-S | Electrum; Desert Eagle | Firebreathing |
| Mil-Spec | PP-Bizon | RMX; USP-S | Silent Shot; Five-SeveN | Dark Polymer; Sawed-Off | Fusion; UMP-45 | Fragment; M4A4 | Zubastick; M249 | Bock Blocks |
Dead Hand gloves
The big difference between Dead Hand and Genesis is the special items. Dead Hand has 22 gloves that are split into three groups: Driver Gloves, Specialist Gloves and Sport Gloves.
These gloves are not like the skins for weapons so it is best to keep them separate.
| Glove type | Dead Hand glove finishes |
|---|---|
| Driver Gloves | Driver Gloves | Brocade Crane; Driver Gloves | Brocade Flowers; Driver Gloves | Dragon Fists; Driver Gloves | Garden; Driver Gloves | Hand Sweaters; Driver Gloves | Plum Quill; Driver Gloves | Seigaiha; Driver Gloves | Wave Chaser |
| Specialist Gloves | Specialist Gloves | Big Swell; Specialist Gloves | Blackbook; Specialist Gloves | Chocolate Chesterfield; Specialist Gloves | Cloud Chaser; Specialist Gloves | Lime Polycam; Specialist Gloves | Pillow Punchers; Specialist Gloves | Sunburst |
| Sport Gloves | Sport Gloves | Blaze; Sport Gloves | Creme Pinstripe; Sport Gloves | Frosty; Sport Gloves | Occult; Sport Gloves | Red Racer; Sport Gloves | Ultra Violent; Sport Gloves | Violet Beadwork |
As with Genesis, the Terminal interface and Valve’s rules determine the purchase flow. Do not treat Dead Hand as a normal key-opened case or as an Armory collection roll.
Standard cases and Terminal releases share a broader CS2 container timeline, which is why players often use “case” for several formats.
A specific finish can be compared directly among available CS2 skins instead of relying on a random case, collection, or Terminal result.
Limited Edition Armory Skins
Limited-edition Armory items sit outside the normal collection tables and rotate on their own schedule.
The slot began with Desert Eagle | Heat Treated in October 2024, followed by XM1014 | Solitude and then AK-47 | Aphrodite in January 2026. Limited edition describes the redemption window, not a permanent collection.

By August 12, 2026, AK-47 | Aphrodite had rotated out and Valve had not announced a replacement limited item.
Desert Eagle | Heat Treated is a former limited reward. The live Armory catalogue determines which item occupies the rotating slot.
Can You Sell or Trade Armory Skins?
Armory skins can often be sold or traded, but the answer depends on the exact copy you own. An item from a collection redemption, case, Terminal, Trade Up Contract, or another player can carry different restrictions.
Valve also changes item-security rules, so the inventory description is more reliable than a universal timer from an older guide.
Trade-lock period
There is no single trade-lock rule for every Armory skin. Restrictions depend on how that copy was acquired and on Valve’s item policies.
A skin received in a trade follows the applicable trade and protection rules, while a redeemed, purchased, or unboxed item can display a different availability date.
Open the item in your Steam inventory and read its status before trying to move it. If Steam shows Tradable After or Marketable After, wait for that date.
If it shows Trade Protected, follow the protection rules attached to the item. Those labels are the safest source for the copy you actually own.
Steam Market selling
You can usually sell collection skins on the Steam Community Market once the item is marketable and your account can use the Market.
A retired collection does not make its existing skins unsellable. The important signals are the skin’s Market status, your account restrictions, and any regional rules Valve applies.
Cases and Terminals are separate from the skins they can produce, so check the Market status of the item you actually own.
Owning a marketable Terminal does not guarantee that a skin purchased inside it will have identical restrictions. Steam’s inventory description is the safest place to confirm the applicable rules.
Trade-up contracts
Eligible weapon skins from Armory collections can be used in Trade Up Contracts. A standard contract combines ten same-tier weapon skins to produce one item from the next tier, with the input collections shaping the output pool.
Regular and StatTrak inputs follow the in-game rules. Cases, Sealed Terminals, gloves, charms, and stickers are not weapon-skin inputs.
Valve expanded Trade Up Contracts in October 2025 for Covert weapon skins. Five eligible regular Covert inputs can now return a regular knife or gloves item, while five StatTrak Covert inputs can return a StatTrak knife.
The output still depends on the eligible collections and special-item pools tied to the inputs.
Because Valve has changed contract eligibility, do not trust an old checklist that labels a category permanently allowed or blocked. The in-game contract screen is the practical test.
If Steam lets you place the item into the contract and shows the expected output pool, it is eligible under the applicable rules.
Conclusion
The Armory rotates collections, cases, and limited-edition rewards through credit redemptions. Genesis and Dead Hand use separate Terminal routes, so confirm the acquisition method and restrictions shown on the exact item.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the newest CS2 Armory collection?
Spy Tech and Arabesque are the newest active Armory weapon collections. Valve added both on July 8, 2026 while removing the 2025 Train and Sport & Field redemptions.
Dead Hand is newer as a cosmetic release, but its Terminal uses the Care Package route rather than Armory Credits.
Can you sell Armory skins on the Steam Community Market?
Yes. You can sell an Armory skin when that copy is marketable and your Steam account is eligible to use the Community Market. The source alone does not guarantee immediate marketability, so check the inventory page for any Marketable After date or other restriction.
Can Armory skins be used in Trade Up Contracts?
Eligible weapon skins can be used in Trade Up Contracts. Standard contracts create an item one tier higher, and the applicable rules also support Covert-level contracts that can lead to knives or gloves when the inputs qualify.
Cases, Terminals, stickers, charms, and gloves are not weapon-skin inputs. Confirm eligibility in the contract screen.
How long is the trade lock on Armory skins?
There is no lock duration that applies to every item simply because it came from the Armory. The relevant restriction depends on how that copy was acquired and Valve’s applicable rules.
Steam may show Trade Protected, Tradable After, or Marketable After information. Use that item status rather than assuming a universal timer.
Does the CS2 Armory Pass expire?
No. Valve’s Steam Support guidance says Armory Passes do not expire. The important catch is that rewards can rotate while a pass remains active. Pass expiration and catalogue availability are separate questions, so spend credits with the live reward list in mind.
What was added to the Armory in 2026?
In January 2026, AK-47 | Aphrodite became the limited-edition Armory weapon and later rotated out. On July 8, Valve added Spy Tech and Arabesque along with new sticker collections.
Dead Hand also arrived in March, but its Sealed Terminal uses weekly Care Packages rather than Armory Credits.
Can you get these skins without an Armory Pass?
Yes. Depending on the item, you may buy or trade for an existing skin after restrictions clear, receive an eligible collection result through a Trade Up Contract, or acquire a case or Sealed Terminal through its own route.
The Armory Pass is specifically required for earning credits and redeeming rewards from the live Armory catalogue.
