Exactly as we expected, the two best teams in the world at the moment have qualified for the Grand Final of BLAST Open Spring 2025, which will be played later today.
This will be their fourth match of the year. Vitality won the previous three matches, which is why a lot of people expect another victory for Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut and his crew. It remains to be seen what MOUZ can do to stop the seemingly inevitable.
Looking at some of the previous matches between Vitality and MOUZ, we can see that the skill difference between them might be smaller than it seems.
One of the major problems MOUZ seem to have is the fact that in certain situations, they don’t seem to deal with pressure very well. They can play well throughout an entire tournament and then crumble in the Grand Final.
For Lotan “Spinx” Giladi, who used to be ZywOo’s teammate just three months ago, confidence is high against all kinds of formidable opponents but not against Vitality. This needs to change if he wants to start winning some of the Grand Finals he’s competing in.
The Path To The Grand Final
Vitality and MOUZ started BLAST Open Spring 2025 in group A, where they faced each other in the Upper Bracket Final. The score was 2 – 0 for Vitality but the map scores were close: 13 – 11, 13 – 11.
Vitality had to beat Spirit in the semifinals, while MOUZ had to beat G2 Esports and Eternal Fire to reach the Grand Final. This best-of-five will likely be epic. We should all hope for a five-map series because the two teams are exceptional and very fun to watch.
Ideally, MOUZ should win the first map to avoid getting demoralized or at least the second one. If the score after the first two maps is 2 – 0, this Grand Final will end like the previous one.
