BLAST Rivals Spring 2025 Semifinals Predictions

Share

The semifinals of BLAST Rivals Spring 2025 are scheduled to be played later today and all of the four remaining teams are arguably among the world’s top 5.

These could have easily been the semifinals of the upcoming Austin Major. The only difference is the prize pool.

Team Falcons vs. MOUZ

Falcons and MOUZ encountered each other in the semifinals of IEM Melbourne 2025, which took place just one week ago. Falcons won that match convincingly: 13 – 3 on Dust II and 13 – 6 on Nuke.

This time, MOUZ are likely to be much better prepared because they had ample time to analyze their defeat and Falcons’ tactics. Furthermore, as we saw in the group stage and playoffs, they are in great shape at the moment.

In group A, they came close to defeating Team Vitality. In the quarterfinals, they crushed FaZe Clan 2 – 0. The score on the second map, Mirage, was 13 – 2.

Falcons, however, are not to be underestimated. They too are one of the world’s best CS2 teams at the moment and won group A with victories against FaZe Clan (2 – 0) and Team Spirit (2 – 1).

Nikola “NiKo” Kovač and Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov form a formidable duo. Combined with Danny “zonic” Sørensen, who is probably the most accomplished coach in the history of the game, they are tactically wise and mechanically invincible. When it’s a 1v2 but the Falcons player is m0NESY or NiKo, it almost feels like a reverse clutch.

Team Falcons have achieved an amazing level of skill and synergy in just a few short weeks and they are likely to continue to improve their playstyle until the Major.

The most likely result in this match is 2 – 1 for Falcons.

Team Vitality vs. Team Spirit

Vitality are the best best team in the world right now and one of the most dominant teams in the history of the game. It seems that every play on the roster has peaked, which makes them almost unbeatable.

Team Falcons came close to achieving this performance in the Grand Final of IEM Melbourne but ended up losing in the overtime of the 5th map.

Vitality won their last four tournaments and ESL Grand Slam Season 5. Now they are trying to win the few remaining tournaments until the Austin Major and, of course, the big event. If they manage to achieve all of this, they will have cemented their legacy with their current roster.

Team Spirit may win one map but they don’t seem capable of winning two. They already lost against Vitality twice this year, in the Grand Final of IEM Katowice (0 – 3) and the semifinals of BLAST Open Spring (1 – 2). They also lost against MOUZ and Falcons, two teams that were defeated by Vitality.

The most likely score here is 2 – 0 for Vitality.
