We continue our blog posts with TF2 class weapons. If you remember, we introduced the best weapons of the Medic and Heavy characters in the past weeks. In today’s article, we would like to talk a little about Scout. As you know, the Scout is one of the fastest and most mobile mercenaries with agility. Thanks to Scout’s features, such as Double Jump, he can take slow characters like Heavy by surprise. That’s exactly why we decided to prepare a TF2 best Scout loadout guide.
By the way, in the details of our list, you will also find details about the prices and release dates of the items. Now, if you’re ready, let’s get started and take a quick look at the details of our list.
1. Soda Popper
- Slot: Primary
- Released: June 23, 2011 Patch
- Price: $0.02 – $0.31
The Soda Popper is a great community-created weapon for the Scout. It has the appearance of a double-barreled shotgun, similar to the Force-A Nature. Crit-a-Cola is placed on the butt and front of the rifle with black tape. It has a faster fire time than many other primary weapons. This naturally makes it advantageous in use.
Also, the Scout’s Hype meter fills up as he shoots with this weapon. After the hype bar is full, looking at the ground and pressing “Mouse 2”, you activate the jumping ability.
In addition to all this, the Soda Popper has +50% fast firing and 25% faster weapon reload time. On the downside, the gun’s magazine size is -66% smaller.
2. Force-A-Nature – Vintage
- Slot: Primary
- Released: February 24, 2009 Patch
- Price: $0.19 – $1.40
Force-A-Nature is a primary weapon used by the Scout. Combined with the sawn barrel, wooden stock, and grip, it is a great double-barreled shotgun. It deals heavy and powerful damage at close range but is not so effective at long range. Its high rate of fire, combined with the Scout’s agility, makes it a deadly weapon.
When we look closely at the features of the weapon, +50% faster firing, recoil when targeting the opponent, and +20% bullets with each shot draw attention. The disadvantage is -10% less damage, and the magazine size is -66%.
3. Mad Milk – Strange
- Slot: Secondary
- Released: September 30, 2010 Patch
- Price: $2.15 – $3.29
Mad Milk is a secondary weapon made by the community for the Scout. It is designed with the image of a milk bottle without a cap. Players squirt the liquid inside the bottle with their actions. Let’s say you threw Mad Milk at your opponent during the game, and you hit it. If a teammate with low health starts shooting milk at the opponent you hit, their health will begin to regenerate. Or, if your health is low and you shoot the opponent, you hit mad milk, your health will slowly start to fill up.
You can get a maximum of 60% health from an enemy spilled milk on it. It is also a useful item in firefighting.
4. C.A.P.P.E.R
- Slot: Secondary
- Released: October 6, 2015 Patch
- Price: $12.87 – $14.99
The C.A.P.P.E.R is a secondary weapon created for both Scout and Engineer. When we look at its appearance, it is in the form of a ray gun that looks like it came out of Star Wars. Additionally, the Front of the Pistol has a small antenna-like barrel. We also consider it a lethal weapon as the C.A.P.P.E.R. uses AA batteries as bullets.
However, at this point, it may push your budget a bit in terms of price. In 2022, its current price is above $10. If you are looking for cheaper prices, you can use Tradeit.gg. You can find the item you want at prices much lower than the market. Finally, you can try your luck by opening Uncrate #97. Maybe 5% chance to get C.A.P.P.E.R. drop.
5. Freedom Staff
- Slot: Melee
- Released: September 27, 2012 Patch
- Price: $0.02 – $0.60
The Freedom Staff is a community-created melee weapon usable by the Spy. We can say that it is one of the best TF2 Scout loadouts on our list due to its appearance and design. There is a fragmented bird figure on the tip of the weapon. The bird figure is more like an eagle and is painted in gold.
Moreover, we can say that those who want to buy can find this item for even less than $1. If you are looking for an additional item next to your main weapon, we definitely recommend you to choose Freedom Staff.
By the way, is the Scout character not for you? If you’re looking for a different character for TF2, check out our Best Medic Weapons list.
6. Atomizer
- Slot: Melee
- Released: June 23, 2011 Patch
- Price: $0.02 – $0.66
The Atomizer is a community-created melee weapon like many other weapons. It is decorated with many strips and bands on the stick made of aluminum. In addition, there is a “!bonk” inscription and a character figure on the baseball bat.
In addition to all these, when you use the Atomizer in-game, it gives your character a triple jump ability. It also provides mini-critical buffs when doing melee attacks. Of course, there are some disadvantages as well. The first is -15% damage for damage done against players, and the second is 50% slower when you try to fire a primary weapon.
7. Shortstop
- Slot: Primary
- Released: September 30, 2010 Patch
- Price: $0.02 – $0.66
Shortstop is in the 7th place on our TF2 best Scout loadout list. Also designed by the community, the Shortstop emerged as a primary weapon for the Scout. However, Shortstop does not have the damage increase we are used to from other primary weapons. Although it looks like a classic pistol when we look at its appearance in the game, its shots are very strong. Especially at close range, it can inflict lethal damage to the opponent.
If you have decided to buy it, you can easily find it for prices under $1. If you want a cheaper price, be sure to check out Tradeit.gg.
8. Winger
- Slot: Secondary
- Released: June 23, 2011 Patch
- Price: $0.11 – $0.15
Another member of our Scout weapon list is the Winger. This weapon is a secondary weapon specially designed for the Scout. Painted in Grey-Blue, there is a radiation symbol on the grip of the gun. We also see a yellow painted wing on the upper body of the gun.
Firing the Winger in-game provides an additional +15% damage bonus. However, you have a +25% higher jump ability when wielding the weapon. As a disadvantage, we can show the magazine size of -60% as an example. This may disturb you in the game.
9. Frying Pan
- Slot: Melee
- Released: September 30, 2010 Patch
- Price: $0.10 – $3.65
Did you know that pans were used in games long before PUBG? With the patch released in 2010, Frying Pan was added to the game for the use of Engineer and Spy. This pan, which is a melee weapon, has a rusty appearance with a flat middle.
Currently, the price varies between $3 and $5 dollars. However, with a little research, we can say that you can buy this item for a much cheaper price. Finally, don’t let the $0.10 price surprise you. Those prices reflect the cost required to craft this item.
10. Back Scatter
- Slot: Primary
- Released: June 18, 2014 Patch
- Price: $0.02 – $0.15
And now we have the last member of our TF2 best Scout loadout list. The Back Scatter is perhaps the most classic weapon you can use for the Scout. Designed as a double-barreled item, it was created by the community and is a primary weapon.
If you use the Back Scatter from behind or near the opponents during the game, you will get mini-critical hits. We would also like to point out that there is a magazine size disadvantage of -34%. In short, it is not very useful in intense conflicts. Your one-on-one opponents will also be more effective.
