The second competitive day of ESL Pro League S21 Stage 2 was marked by the comeback of Natus Vincere, Team Liquid, and Eternal Fire. All three teams won their matches after losing on day 1.
But the biggest winners were Team Spirit, Team Vitality, MOUZ, and The MongolZ. These four competitors are now just one victory away from advancing to the playoffs of EPL S21.
This year, the tournament is not as prestigious as in previous ones because it only offers $400.000 in prize money. But it’s still a highly exciting CS2 event that can bring a lot of prestige to the winner. Most of the world’s best teams attend it, so a good result here is perfectly relevant.
Team Spirit’s Results
Spirit have defeated TYLOO and SAW so far and didn’t lose a single map. Danil “donk” Kryshkovets continues to be in great shape. The 18-year-old who was named the best CS2 player in the world in 2024 is simply unstoppable right now.
In their third match of stage 2, Spirit will face The MongolZ and they are very likely to win.
Team Vitality’s Results
Vitality are probably the strongest team in CS2 at the moment. But that doesn’t make them unbeatable. In their first match, against MIBR, they lost the first map. Other than that, they had an easy time on the first two days of this stage. Their next match will be against MOUZ.
MOUZ’s Results
MOUZ defeated FURIA 2 – 1 and then Team Falcons 2 – 0. But they probably won’t beat Vitality in the third.
The MongolZ’s Results
The MongolZ beat GamerLegion and G2 Esports. The second victory was incredible. After losing the first map 13 – 9 and being led 10 – 2 on the second map, The MongolZ made a spectacular comeback. However, their weaknesses have been exposed.
