BLAST Rivals Spring 2025 is an exciting CS2 tournament scheduled to be played between April 30 – May 4. It features eight teams, five of which are in the top 10 globally.
With $350.000 in prize money and a two-groups, double-elimination format followed by single-elimination playoffs, this event promises to be one of the best we’ve seen so far in 2025.
Team Falcons will get the chance to play against some of the world’s best teams again. At the recent IEM Melbourne, their new roster looked amazing and they came very close to winning the trophy.
Eventually, Team Vitality prevailed thanks to an epic comeback on the 5th map. But Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov’s statement was loud and clear. He moved to Team Falcons to win trophies again and he’s determined to win his first Major this year.
This ambition is shared by his good friend, Nikola “NiKo” Kovač, who has also never won a Major despite having a remarkable career in Counter-Strike.
Group A
Here are the four participants in group A of BLAST Rivals Spring 2025:
- Team Vitality
- MOUZ
- PaiN Gaming
- Wildcard
Three of these teams will advance to the playoffs. Two of them are almost guaranteed to be Vitality and MOUZ.
Group B
In this group, three teams are much stronger than the 4th:
- Team Spirit
- Team Falcons
- FaZe Clan
- FlyQuest
FlyQuest will need a miracle to make it to the playoffs because every single one of their rivals is in the top 10. Two of them are in the top 5.
Favorites
The overall favorites are easy to spot:
- Team Vitality
- Team Spirit
- MOUZ
- Team Falcons
In their current form, FaZe Clan cannot be added to the list because they would get destroyed by any of these four teams. In group B, their first match will be against Falcons. If they can beat them, then maybe they should be regarded with a bit more respect.
