The closed qualifier for BLAST Bounty Fall 2025 is finally over. Among the eight survivors are several teams that were not supposed to advance to the main event.
Qualified Teams
Here are the eight teams that succeeded:
- Team Vitality
- MOUZ
- Team Spirit
- The MongolZ
- Aurora Gaming
- Virtus.pro
- Astralis
- Team Liquid
The first four competitors on this list were expected to win their first two matches and advance with ease. They eventually did, but not without struggling against their opponents.
Vitality nearly lost the first map against Legacy and needed overtime rounds to emerge victorious.
MOUZ lost the first map against OG and nearly lost the second map against B8.
Team Spirit lost one map against Passion UA and another map against G2 Esports. They also came close to losing the entire match against G2.
The MongolZ lost one map against ENCE and only narrowly defeated paiN Gaming.
For the bottom four teams on the list, a combination of skill and luck was necessary to advance to the main event.
Aurora did not get seriously tested because they faced FlyQuest and HEROIC. They won both matches without much difficulty.
Virtus.pro made an epic comeback on the second map against MIBR, winning from 2 – 10. They then had to face FaZe Clan and won 2 – 1. After this disappointing result and the 7th – 8th place from IEM Cologne, Finn “karrigan” Andersen will probably regret not signing Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev when he had the chance.
Another huge surprise of the closed qualifier was Astralis. After beating Rare Atom, the Danes encountered Natus Vincere and were supposed to lose. But they played remarkably well and completely destroyed NAVI on the 2nd and 3rd maps.
The last qualified team is Liquid. They had to beat ECSTATIC and FURIA, which proved to be easier than expected.
