FISSURE Playground #1 Playoffs Preview

Share

The second stage of FISSURE Playground #1 has begun, and to everyone’s surprise, most of the favorites did not survive the groups.

FURIA, paiN Gaming, Virtus.pro, BIG, and HEROIC were all eliminated, sometimes in spectacular fashion, by teams that came to Belgrade hungry for victory and very well-prepared.

The Qualified Teams

Here are the eight teams that advanced to the playoffs of FISSURE Playground #1:

  • GamerLegion
  • SAW
  • Lynn Vision Gaming
  • 3DMAX
  • TYLOO
  • Astralis
  • Complexity
  • BetBoom Team

Quarterfinals

Here are the four quarterfinals that are currently being played to determine the semifinalists:

GamerLegion vs. BetBoom Team

GL have a big advantage in this match because their opponent has recently undergone a roster change and is currently struggling to develop cohesive strategies.

With such a strong roster, which includes players like Fredrik “REZ” Sterner, GamerLegion should win this 2 – 0. Their results in 2025 have been excellent. At some of the biggest tournaments, including IEM Katowice, PGL Bucharest, and IEM Dallas, they finished in the top eight.

Astralis vs. Lynn Vision Gaming

Astralis are playing much better with Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen as their new IGL. But, as we saw against TYLOO, they’re still vulnerable at the moment.

Given that Lynn Vision are even stronger than TYLOO, it’s probably safe to say that they will lose this quarterfinal unless they play really well.

TYLOO vs. 3DMAX

At the time of this writing, TYLOO are absolutely destroying 3DMAX. They won the first map 13 – 9 and have a huge lead on the second map. If they win the series, their next opponent will be SAW or Complexity.

SAW vs. Complexity

Both teams played poorly in recent months. SAW failed to qualify for the Austin Major while Complexity finished the tournament 28th – 30th.

At FISSURE Playground #1, Complexity won group D, but that was arguably the easiest of the four. SAW defeated FURIA twice in group A and only lost against GamerLegion, which indicates that they are probably stronger.
