After 18 months of playing for Complexity and winning a single A-tier trophy, Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski has decided to leave the organization.
Some suspect that he might have received offers from either G2 Esports or FaZe Clan. Both orgs are currently searching for replacement players because they lost one of their best members recently. G2 lost Nikola “NiKo” Kovač, who joined Team Falcons, while FaZe lost Robin “ropz” Kool, who joined Team Vitality.
A third option would be HEROIC. The European organization is currently in the process of changing its entire CS2 roster and is known to be one of the best in the world.
EliGE’s Prowess And Ambitions
For someone like EliGE, who probably wants to win some S-tier trophies in the coming years, joining any of the orgs mentioned above would be a real opportunity. He will be 28 this Summer and arguably one of the strongest underachievers in CS2.
Despite his incredible talent, EliGE spent the last five years competing for teams that were simply not in great shape. Team Liquid, after their phenomenal 2019 season, struggled to keep pace. Complexity always looked good on paper but never managed to successfully complete an S-tier run.
For EliGE, who was a top-20 player six times in his career, including in 2024 (19th), the future looks bright. He’s still young and skilled enough to represent a very attractive option for a lot of organizations that need an excellent rifler who can trade well.
At this particular point in time, the CS2 scene is rapidly transforming and lots of team are trying to grab the best available players. So there’s a high chance that we will soon find out what EliGE will do next.
Assuming he’ll move to Europe, the biggest challenge for him will be to adapt to life on a new continent and a new social circle. Not every player thrives in this type of scenario but EliGE certainly seems to be capable of it.
