The playoffs stage of BLAST Premier World Final 2024 is about to begin. Six of the eight initial teams are left in the race and two of them are already waiting for their opponents in the semifinals.

Group A Results

In group A, Astralis surprised everyone with a great performance. The Danes won both of their matches despite being faced with much stronger opponents.

Both Natus Vincere and MOUZ were supposed to defeat them with ease, but they won each time without losing a single map. In fact, the scores were not even close.

MOUZ finished 2nd in the group while FaZe Clan finished 3rd after defeating Natus Vincere. For the Ukrainian team, the competition is already over. This defeat should motivate them to train harder for the second Major of the year, Perfect World Shanghai.

The team’s coach, Andrij “B1ad3” Ghorodensjkyj, actually declared before the start of BLAST Premier World Final 2024 that a win here was not necessarily desirable because it would have made the players too confident. Well, now that they were eliminated early, they will certainly not have this problem at the Major.

Group B Results

In group B, G2 Esports won after losing their first map of the tournament 0 – 13. Team Liquid simply destroyed them on Ancient but then went on to lose the match. They also lost the elimination match against Team Vitality.

In the winners match, between G2 and Team Spirit, G2 proved to be just a bit stronger. The scores were 16 – 13 on Anubis and 13 – 10 on Mirage.

Danil “donk” Kryshkovets played well and finished with a personal score of 51 – 39. But his effort could not save his team. It remains to be seen what will happen in the playoffs.

Spirit is about to face FaZe Clan while Vitality will play against MOUZ. In 2024, Spirit played five matches against FaZe and the score is currently 3 – 2 in their favor.
