The TF2 Halloween event takes place every year between October 1st<\/sup> \u2013 November 7th<\/sup>. It\u2019s also known under the name Scream Fortress and was introduced in 2009. In The Terrifying Team Fortress Haunted Hallowe\u2019en Special.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The essence of the Team Fortress 2 Halloween event consists of visual changes and additional content themed around Halloween. The modifications include background screens, soul-harvesting contract campaigns, spooky sound cues, Halloween maps, Halloween cosmetics, monsters, and ghosts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Valve Corporation definitely wants to make you feel like you are celebrating Halloween in Team Fortress 2<\/a>. Even if you don\u2019t do it in real life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Yearly Stream Fortress Update<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Every year, Valve gives players the possibility to play the previous version of its Halloween-themed TF2 starting on October 1st<\/sup>. And then, later that month, it introduces the new Scream Fortress Update.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2021, the Team Fortress 2 Update or the Team Fortress patch was released on October 5th<\/sup>. It was called Scream Fortress XIII and it featured 6 new community maps (Los Muertos, Erebus, Graveyard, Terror, etc.). The Crimson Cache Case, which contained 20 community-created Halloween themed cosmetics (the Crimson Cache Collection). 5 community Rust taunts<\/a> such as The Drunken Sailor, or The Profane Puppeteer (these can be found in the Mann Co. Store). 28 unusual effects, new effects for unusual hats and unusual taunts, the Scream Fortress XIII War Paint Case. A Soul Gargoyle, a reset of all Halloween Contracts, and much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In TF2, Halloween events draw a lot of attention and you can see it on the game\u2019s community servers. One of the cool things about them is that every year, Valve manages to come up with something new.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The TF2 community<\/a> is always spoiled with lots of goodies, and for around 5 weeks, there\u2019s a lot more action going on. Halloween-restricted items become unavailable after that, so if you want to see what it\u2019s like to play Team Fortress during the month of Halloween, now is the perfect time to do it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The game itself, apart from the specific maps related to Halloween, is still the same. If you don\u2019t like Halloween, you can just ignore it and continue to play the game on a private server that doesn\u2019t care about it at all.
